The ending was a bit confusing and ended in a cliffhanger so I hope that it's explained in the next installment. The cast in this drama was good at portraying their characters. In this drama, you find out a bit more about the tombs mystery and about the mysterious character of Zhang Qilin. The Lost Tomb 2 is about Wuxie's tomb raiding adventures, the uncovering of the mystery behind the artifact found in the tomb from The Lost Tomb, and the uncovering of the mystery behind the disappearance of the archaeological team that his uncle was in. The story of The Lost Tomb 2 loosely follows the story of The Lost Tomb with an entirely different cast. I also came off this series a big fan of Cheng Yi which I didn’t expect at all.

He hit Wu Xie’s kind nature but also slight arrogance perfectly. Ah-mazing!Įven before this drama, I was a fan of Neo Hou but this cemented my opinion on him, that he isn’t just a pretty face but a great actor, too. The casting, the chemistry among the main four actors, the writing, the cinematography, the haunting music, the sets… all of it was perfect! There was action, humor, friendship so wonderful it stole my heart… plethora of whump - but also affection among Wu Xie, Zhang Qiling and Wang Pangzi.
